Worldview

The MetaCene world unfolds across three chapters: the Genesis of Fire, the Realm of Apocalypse, and the Spirit of All Things. The three chapters proceed in sequence, which not only unfolds the story of the MetaCene game, but also heralds the evolutionary trajectory of a new metaverse. In this new universe era where glaciers are melting, the source energy is awakening, and order is in urgent need of reconstruction, the MetaCene team aspires to empower every adventurer to craft their own player journey through co-entertainment, co-governance, and co-creation of three core gameplays , and together build a new oasis belonging to all mankind.

First Stage: The Genesis of Fire

MetaCene game is officially released. At this stage, a gameplay-driven massively multiplayer role-playing (MMORPG) open world begins to take shape. Countless adventurers awaken on the vast new continent, accumulating wealth, forming alliances, challenging world bosses, and battling for survival and glory amid intense PvP, unknown PvE, and mining gameplay requiring both strategy and courage.

Second Stage: The Realm of Apocalypse

The MetaCene open world unfolds. Powered by the vast Realms Private Server Network and combined with AIGC tools, players will be able to participate in governance and user-generated content (UGC) creation in the MetaCene game world as never before. Driven by player creativity, the MetaCene game world will expand infinitely, and MetaCene's on-chain assets will be empowered in a broader world.

Third Stage: The Spirit of All Things

MetaCene Metaverse, codenamed "Pangu," descends in full force. Players will be able to roam the core area of Pangu Universe - World Island. World Island will connect various servers of MetaCene and other game worlds of Pangu Universe, built by two main sections: user-generated content (UGC) and NFT land assets. Each piece of land will be able to host both game and non-game content, compatible with player-created game modules (MODs), extending outward under the nourishment of user-generated content, ultimately supporting an infinite world island.

World Island is a new realm based on the main game worldview but also connected to the real world: not only for gamers but also open to partners, investors, brands, and philanthropic organizations. It can host diverse virtual large-scale events such as concerts, expos, fashion shows, brand spaces, etc., with playability, profitability, and endless possibilities. Pangu is a true blockchain-based metaverse, empowered by the main game and World Island, where diverse Web3 IPs bloom together, and on-chain assets are highly integrated with virtual reality, creating a vibrant value network and an inclusive game metaverse.

Background Story

In the year 2800 of the stellar calendar, on the planet Bohr, the rapid advancement of nuclear fusion, smart manufacturing, and genetic technology ushered humanity into an era of abundance, where poverty and war became distant history. Humanity entered an unprecedented golden age: the Era of Plenty. The affluent life and seemingly inexhaustible resources intoxicated humanity in a utopian dream, unaware of the impending turning point of fate.

In the year 3004 of the stellar calendar, the golden age came to an abrupt end. A mysterious natural disaster struck, heralding the onset of a dark glacial era. Within a mere week, global temperatures plummeted to minus 20 degrees Celsius, blanketing the entire planet in ice and snow. Countless species faced extinction, and the once prosperous human civilization teetered on the brink of collapse.

At this critical juncture, scientists from around the world joined forces to take action, implementing a series of nuclear explosions to reverse the global glaciation process and save the human race from the brink of extinction. However, the chain reaction of nuclear explosions brought unexpected consequences: after the ice and snow melted, the entire planet began to suffer from sustained high levels of radiation. Following a rapid decline in global species and population, the natural adjustment mechanism was triggered, propelling the planet Bohr into the most incredible period of evolution in history. Towering forests reaching tens of meters high, bloodthirsty mutant beasts, vast fungal plants, and bizarre rocks and stones emerged...

Many of the evolved new creatures possessed a certain degree of intelligence, fearless of conventional firearms. Individual powerhouses could directly engage with small armies, leading to humanity's steady retreat in attempting to reclaim sovereignty in this alien world. Mutant creatures occupied the living space of the continent, fracturing humanity into dispersed and isolated towns. Humanity seemed on the verge of losing the entire planet in a war of evolution.

After more than 300 years of tug-of-war and contention, a new human force known as the "Celestials" emerged onto the stage of history. The Celestials were a new breed of humans with superpowers called "Source Energy." They bore the responsibility of withstanding the onslaught of evolutionary creatures and reconnecting the fragmented human society. Whether humanity can once again become the masters of the planet Bohr, rebuild civilization on a new continent, remains to be seen.

The Bohr World

The Wisdom Civilization exists on the planet Bohr within the Bohr Universe. Throughout the continuous quantum iterations of the Bohr planet, it has undergone countless cycles of destruction and rebirth. After each rebirth, the environment and evolutionary history of life on Bohr are never the same. Amidst the unpredictable fluctuation of resources on the planet, each generation of humanity on Bohr takes on different forms.

From the perspective of human history, there are two main groups on the planet Bohr: the Celestials and the Mortals. The Celestials are Mortals who have undergone a transformation by chance, granting them extraordinary wisdom or power. In a certain generation, the Celestials discovered a method to transcend the quantum states of the Bohr Universe, which they concealed as the "Seeds of Fire." From then on, the Celestial lineage has been passed down through generations, coexisting with the Bohr Universe. However, the Mortals of each generation on Bohr are unaware of this: they have no knowledge of the Celestials hidden within their society's historical processes, intervening only at specific moments...

The Bohr World consists of five continents: the Pacifica in the eastern hemisphere, the Westeros in the western hemisphere, the Wilderness to the north of Pacifica. Starting from the southernmost part of Westeros and crossing a rugged canyon, one would arrive at the Stonehenge. Between Pacifica and Westeros lies the treacherous Furious Ocean, making it extremely difficult for Mortals to cross.

After the apocalypse, the scattered cities on the continent are divided into four categories:

  • Origins of Clouds: Towns where Mortals seek refuge and obtain basic resources.

  • Free cities: Larger Mortal areas, usually inhabited by merchant families left behind from the Era of Plenty, mostly peaceful regions.

  • Birdcry Town: Medium-sized cities with defensive functions, typically bordering other ethnic groups, guarded by human and light mechanical troops.

  • Celestial cities: Headquarters of Celestial organizations, currently, there are only two major celestial cities on the Bohr planet. The central hub of Pacifica is the Celestial capital, Sky Metropolis, home to the Celestial Academy. The central hub of Westeros is the Sacred Sanctuary in Curtis City.

The Messengers of Fire

In the post-apocalyptic era of the Bohr generation, various forces emerge, comprising both heroes and villains. Celestials and Mortals alike embark on their respective paths of enlightenment to save humanity. Each character bears their own background, mission, and a unique legend.

Qianyan Hua - Mortal

A young Mortal from the Dongyuan tribe, Qianyan Hua bears an extraordinary destiny. Orphaned at a young age, he was raised by the mayor of Birdcry Town, where he grew up silent but skilled in swordsmanship. After the apocalypse, along with his childhood friend Fange Zhang, who grew up with him in the orphanage, he resolves to rebuild civilization for Mortals. With unwavering determination, he sets off on a journey that will change his destiny forever, gradually unfolding the truth of his lineage and the mission he carries.

Fange Zhang - Neo-Celestial

Ambitious from a young age and unwilling to witness the demise of human civilization, he joined the mysterious organization "Firestone" in his youth. Underwent transplantation surgery, he became one of the first batch of Neo-Celestials transformed from Mortals. He gained Titan-like powers but also paid a heavy price. Despite the twists of fate, he embarked on a completely different path from Qianyan.

Binglian Xia - Celestial

The heir to the leadership of the Celestial faction, Kunlun Sect, she is the eldest daughter of her family, burdened with a heavy responsibility. A master of swordsmanship, she possesses a calm temperament, contrasting sharply with her younger sister of the same clan. Amidst the chaos of the post-glacial era, she bears the responsibility of leading the "Seeds of Fire" plan and gradually begins to find her true self in the adventurous journey against the current.

Anna Xia - Celestial

The daughter of the contemporary patriarch of the Kunlun Sect and the heir of the mysterious power of the Fire Phoenix, she is seen as the hope for the future of the Xia family. With her striking appearance, bright golden hair, and cheerful personality, she always stands out in the crowd. After the apocalypse, brave and determined, she leaves the Kunlun clan behind and embarks on a perilous journey to save humanity.

In the world of MetaCene, players will encounter other survivors on the continent and pursue the mysterious trail of the seeds of fire.
